Lions Den | Brisbane
For the first time in eight years, The Lions Den was back – and boy did it return in style.
More than 4,000 swamped the Brisbane Convention Centre for a celebration of all things Lions.
Brilliantly hosted by TVs Ben Shephard, former Scotland scrum-half Andy Nicol and BT Sports’ Sara Elgan, fans were taken on a wonderful entertainment journey that featured some of the biggest and best Lions legends.
And when Sky’s Alex Payne filmed the opening Test montage from the Den to the roars of ‘Lions, Lions, Lions’ an incredible day was complete.
Laughs, stories, music and the very best food and drink – rugby entertainment doesn’t get much better.
Lions Den | Melbourne
From Alun-Wyn Jones singing Walking on Memphis to Pierre Shoeman and Jamie George serenading the crowd, Melbourne’s Lions Den had a bit of everything.
With fantastic cultural entertainment to launch the show, gameshows and activations that kept fans enthralled throughout as well as brilliant Q&As, a match preview and so much more, Melbourne was everything that was great about a Lions Tour: Friendships, memories, great experiences and an atmosphere that was incredible. Rugby parties don’t get any better.
Lions Den | Sydney
Lions Dens don’t end, they just fade away.
Sydney’s finale was a fitting show-stopper for more than 5,000 Lions fans who were on the rugby holiday of a lifetime.
No other rugby party gets fans on stage to sing in front of a capacity audience but that’s exactly what happened here for Geinor Eustace, who closed the show with a memorable performance.
Before that, the one and only Brian O’Driscoll re-lived his Lions memories, Martin Johnson and Warren Gatland previewed the final Test, the Good, the Bad, the Rugby stars raised the energy, before The Lions Supergroup brought the curtain down on three amazing shows with a brilliant playlist.
Immense, emotional, not to be forgotten. The Lions Dens are back.
