The British & Irish Lions Gala Dinner is a highlight of any Lions Tour and this year is set to be no different. The 2017 Gala Dinner takes place in Wellington on the evening before the second test on Friday 30 June 2017 at the prestigious TSB Bank Arena. Make your own way to the venue and enjoy a drinks reception followed by a three course meal and share in the company of other fellow Lions supporters. Your experience will be made by the array of Lions legends we have attending. Hear from some of the biggest and most respected personalities in Lions history as they relive their triumphs, stories and recall some of their favourite memories of what makes The Lions the greatest touring rugby team in the world. In addition, there will be a Q&A and entertainment will complete the line-up. If you have the Wellington Eve of Test event included in your tour package, you can choose to upgrade to attend the Gala Dinner for just £149.00 per person. If your tour package does not include the Wellington Eve of Test event, then you can book this prestigious dinner event at the cost of £249.00 per person providing your tour package accommodates you in Wellington on this night. Weta Cave Workshop Tour

Make your own way to the Wellington i-SITE (Corner Victoria and Wakefield Street, Wellington, 6011), where you will be met by your Lions Rugby Travel Representatives, and you will begin your journey from central Wellington to the Weta Cave in a dedicated ‘There & Back Again’ shuttle. Weta Studio Tours is your gateway to an immersive filmmaking experience in Wellington. There and Back Again…The Full Experience takes you inside the world of creative design and practical effects facility Weta Workshop, with a guided round trip! Your ticket includes return transfers from Wellington i-SITE to Weta Studio Tours in Miramar, with two behind-the-scenes tours: Weta Cave Workshop Tour, and Thunderbirds Are Go Behind-the-Scenes Experience. We can’t take you inside the Workshop itself, but rest assured – we’ll get you as close as we possibly can. Your knowledgeable driver will highlight iconic film sites of Wellington as you journey to Weta Studio Tours. On arrival, snap photos with a life-sized Hobbit hole, wander through the mini museum, and browse the Weta Cave retail store. Your ticket includes priority seating to the documentary about Weta’s creativity. An experienced Weta Workshop crew member will then guide you on a tour through a converted area of the Workshop.
