Whangarei Local Attractions
Whangarei is located in the north of New Zealand. Tourists visiting the Whangarei district are spoilt for things to do; sublime beaches and coastlines, offshore islands and an intangible spirit of belonging that takes over the people and landscape alike.
A trail walk around the Whangarei Falls Scenic Reserve, one of New Zealand’s best loved and well-known landmarks, comes highly recommended. The Falls are just a short drive from the stadium, and boast some of the most spectacular views and bush scenery. There are three viewing platforms from which to take in the 26m high Falls.
