The  FMG Stadium Waikato is the home of the Chiefs in Super Rugby, and the Waikato Rugby Union in the ITM Cup.

The Lions faced the Chiefs at this stadium on 20th June 2017, where they avenged their last visit to the ground in 2005, where they were defeated by the Maori All Blacks, with a resounding 34-6 win. With Lions fans making up a large part of the 25,800 seating capacity, the electric atmosphere helped lead the British and Irish Lions to victory.
